This article describes how to set up your PayMe to accept International currencies on PayMe interface.
At present, your PayMe account may be set up fort the local ILS currency only.
When launching your business internationally and with revenue coming in from your international listings, you're likely to want to set up your account to include different currencies.
Does the Account I've Opened Allow Foreign Transactions?
Accepting International Payments
Payment accounts are open to Israeli shekels and Israeli credit cards by default. You can choose to make transactions in USD/Euro or transactions on a tourist card (a card issued outside of Israel) – by emailing our support team at support@payme.io
Important!
Foreign exchange availability depends on a number of factors and the decision of whether to approve these transactions is made by our risk management department.
Are There Any Differences in the Required Fields to Fill In the Payment Page?
When entering a credit card number for a card issued outside of Israel, i.e. a tourist card - the requirement for a card holder's ID will disappear automatically.
If the card is issued in one of the following countries- US, UK, or Canada - ZIP Code code requirements will be displayed.
If the country is different from the four countries listed above (including Israel) - the field will simply disappear and demand nothing in its place.
Important Note:
When making a currency transfer (USD or Euro) - the banks charge a fee called "SWIFT fee", so we recommend not to make withdrawals in small amounts but to accumulate a relatively high amount.
The system automatically blocks transfers lower than USD 50, and sends an email update to the business for the blockage, stating that if you still want to make the transfer, you can specify it in a reply email.
