Overview
- Bit is a popular payment method in Israel, widely used for transactions. Owned and managed by Bank Hapoalim, it allows customers to pay using their credit cards without the card being physically present during the transaction.
Service Activation
New customers
join the service by opening a new account here. Click on the "Join" button for your desired plan, which will take you to a registration form. Once the process is complete, you can set your preferred password and access the new management interface to process transactions via Bit.
Existing customers without the Bit service
To activate the Bit service on your PayMe clearing account, you need to register for the service through the Apps Marketplace.
- Go to the APM category in the app marketplace in the PayMe platform and search for the bit pluggin.

Click Setup -> a new pop-up window will appear with Bit's information and details.
- After reviewing the APM & agreeing with its terms & conditions, press the “Install” button.
- That's it! bit is now active & ready to use.
Important Details About the Service:
- Brands Supported: Initially, only basic brands are enabled, but all brands can be supported (subject to approval and installation fee).
- QR Code Validity: 9 minutes from sale creation.
- Fees: An additional fee is charged; details are provided before service activation.
- Currency Supported: Only Israeli Shekels.
- Subscriptions: Not currently supported.
- Website Integration: Possible via API integration.
- Transaction Limits: Up to 5,000 ILS per transaction and 20,000 ILS per month; annual limit can be removed upon approval.
- Money Transfer: Based on the Withdrawal plan installed in your PayMe account, similar to regular credit card transactions. For a full explanation of withdrawal and credit programs, click here.

Can a bit transaction be refunded?
Yes, a bit transaction can be refunded just like a credit card transaction, including partial refunds.
It is possible that after a partial refund, a new "charge" will appear in the bit app for the difference between the full amount of the transaction and the refund. This is just a different display and does not indicate that a new charge has been made.

Payment Request Appearance:
- Generate a link for the customer to open on their phone or create a QR code for scanning.
- After scanning the code or opening the link, the app will open on the customer's phone.
